Yip, I’m referring to those questions that every mom and dad try and avoid as long as possible!

Mommy can I go and play at so-and-so’s house?

I’ve often been told by my kids that they are not babies anymore and that they know the difference between what is right and what is wrong so I don’t need to control what they watch.

It’s more like that uninvited family member who comes over and stays indefinitely!

Have you ever entered a battlefield where food is the weapon of choice? Well I have!!!

So here is where we pick up on guilt again! I haven’t seen my kids all day and then I must hear from the teacher or even worse be subjected to their misbehaving.

Growing up, I was an extremely privileged little girl who had a birthday party almost every year. I was the last child and was therefore labelled as the spoilt brat, which I wasn’t….of course!

I’m sure every parent of a talking child has had embarrassing moments where you felt the Earth should just swallow you whole!

So there I was carrying on with my day, feeling in control, blissfully happy, when I got that message!

Be grateful and accept acts of love unconditionally! Return them where and when possible! Enjoy the time that you have with your husband and kids and make memories!

I didn’t think I would ever say it, but I love traveling with my kids. It is such a good bonding experience.
