In terms of the Medical Schemes Act, schemes are strictly regulated in terms of the reserves required to be maintained, benefits they can provide, levels of non-health care costs e.g., administration fees and commissions that can be paid to brokers - CAMAF does not use brokers. A loyalty programme is designed to be an optional "added value" proposition to provide members with additional lifestyle benefits.
