CAMAF NETWORK OPTIONS
What is a Network option?
It is an option where, for the purpose of containing costs, the scheme has negotiated rates to be charged with certain
designated service providers (DSPs) on behalf of members who are on the network option. These providers form the
network, to which members of the network option are restricted. Members on the network option get discounted
contribution rates, which are directly linked to the discounts received from negotiating with the DSP.
Networks apply to hospitalisation benefits, optical, audiology benefits and GP consultations.
Network Choice members are restricted to Netcare hospital group for hospitalisation, HearConnect for audiology
benefits, and to PPN for optical benefits. You are also required to nominate two GPs from the CAMAF GP network each
year and only use those nominated GPs for your GP consultations.
You may change your nominated GP once a year on the CAMAF mobile app or website, Member Login under My
Option menu > Manage my Providers.
