MEMBER GUIDE - FIRST CHOICE
What do I do should I need spectacles or contact
lenses?
The benefit is provided through the scheme's PPN
(Preferred Provider Network) and to obtain maximum
value from this benefit you should use a PPN optometrist.
Consult the brochure, website or mobile app for details of
the benefit.
Where can I find a network optometrist?
A detailed list of the PPN providers is available on the
website.
How often can I use the benefit?
This benefit can be utilised every 24 months per beneficiary.
What is the benefit provided?
Each beneficiary is entitled to one consultation and either
a pair of spectacles or contact lenses.
What are "add-ons"?
Examples of these are tinting, hardening, anti-glare
treatment, which are not covered on this option.
What happens if I don't use a PPN optometrist?
You still have a benefit every 24 months but the amount of
cover for the consultation, spectacles and contact lenses
is limited, which could result in co-payments.
